Pulau Merambung, Sungai Pulai

Due to Sungai Pulai is one of my sampling site in Johor, so I came with Uncle to find sea turtles at Pulau Merambong. We stay at Save Our Seahorses (SOS) station , rent a boat to the island and spot for sea turtles. Sungai Pulai has the largest single tract of seagrass, however not much sea turtle was spotted.

Sungai Pulai is famous for seahorses, the SOS team is here to protect the seahorse population. During low tide, they will have volunteers to go to the seagrass area to look for seahorses and do tagging for research. After finish my sampling, I did follow them to the area, besides of seahorse many other organisms were found.
